Claiming Mariah, my debut print novel, hit the November 2014 CBA Bestsellers List. I am honored beyond measure to be listed with such an amazing group of powerhouses in Christian fiction.
God’s blessings continue to be poured out.
I. Am. Stunned!

December 12th, 2014 – Patricia Bradley and I had more fun at the Jackson Lifeway, Jackson, MS later in the day on December 12th. I forgot to take my camera in and didn’t get any pictures at the store, but the manager and staff were amazing. I met one young mother who’d recently lost her husband to an accident and Christian fiction and Christian devotionals was helping her get through her grief. We shared a hug, and Pat and I told her we’d be praying for her. We might not know her name, but God does. So keep that sweet young woman in your prayers.
December 12th, 2014 - I had a great time signing books at the Mendenhall Public Library, Mendenhall, MS, with author Patricia Bradley and the library staff. Thanks to Rhoda Benton for the invitation. The Mendenhall Public Library is an awesome place to visit, and they have an amazing Community Center right next door. While we were there, the Mendenhall Elementary School’s Kindergarteners came in for story time. Biggest book signing EVER! lol
November 6th, 2014 – I had a wonderful time at the Wildlife Jamboree, Neshoba County Coliseum, Philadelphia, MS. Met so many friends and former co-workers. I donated a Kindle and a copy of Claiming Mariah as a door prize. I didn’t get a chance to meet the winner, but I loved the cute packaging. I didn’t have time to take pictures at the event because we stayed so busy (that’s a good thing, because I was having FUN talking and selling books). But I did get ONE pic of me and my friend Bri. But I have to say that if I had to have one picture of the event, this one would be the one I’d want. Me and Bri are BUDS!
October 31-November 1, 2014 – What a great turn-out at the Soule Live Steam Festival in Meridian, MS. Richelle Putnam, June Davis Davidson, and I had a fantastic time signing books, chatting with old and new friends, and enjoying the festival. Looking forward to returning next year!
October 25th, 2014 - Sebastopolooza, Sebastopol, MS. Huge turn-out at Sebastopolooza. So many friends came out to celebrate with me. Even though Claiming Mariah came out in February, I think Sebastopolooza 2014 could be considered my “launch party”. And what a party it was!
June 6-7th, 2014 – Southern Christian Writers Conference, Tuscaloosa, AL
May 3, 2014 I had my first booksigning at the DeWitt-DeWeese Memorial Park Gazebo in front of the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Library. Philadelphia, MS.

I’m Southern born, and Southern bred. And I’m a writer. Needless to say, I was thrilled to be invited to guest blog on Suite T, Southern Writers Magazine’s blog. In my former life, I purchased millions of pounds of stainless steel, one of the toughest, most enduring metals known to man. A great book endures the test of time just like quality stainless steel.
